Level 1 Safe Rugby course
Bruff RFC are hosting the Level 1 Safe Rugby course this Saturday in Kilballyowen. There are limited places available and costs 50 euro per participant.
SAFE Rugby has been designed to provide a standardised method of assessment and management of the initial stages of any injury or medical emergency occurring in rugby.
SAFE Rugby courses include Basic Life Support and Advisory External Defibrillation training and certification from the Irish Heart Foundation/ American Heart Association as well as a SAFE Rugby certificate from the IRFU, both valid for a period of two years.
Core skills include the initial approach to the injured player, managing suspected spinal and head injuries, managing fracture and joint injuries and concussion awareness.
